A Corner Block Investment in Kariong

This Kariong project was built for a returning client as their second build with Coastwide Granny Flats. The brief was simple, create another strong investment property with practical access, good tenant appeal, and a layout that would work well for the block.

The granny flat is based on our Wamberal floor plan and was designed to make the most of the site while keeping the build functional, clean, and easy to maintain for the long term.


A Layout That Works with the Block

Being positioned on a corner block gave this granny flat a major advantage. It was able to have its own street access, which helps create a greater sense of separation from the main dwelling and makes the property feel more independent for future tenants.

That kind of layout can make a big difference for both privacy and presentation, especially when the build is intended as an investment.


Built for Practical Living

This build includes a large front patio that adds usable outdoor space and gives the home a more open and welcoming feel from the street. It also features a huge concrete driveway with plenty of off street parking, which adds to the overall functionality of the property.

Together, these details help the granny flat feel more complete and more liveable, rather than simply being an add on at the back of a block.

The granny flat was finished with our standard hip roof design, giving it a clean and balanced look that suits the surrounding streetscape. Combined with the Wamberal layout, it is a practical design that continues to perform well for investors looking for a reliable and appealing rental property.


For this client, it was another smart addition to their portfolio and a great example of how the right block and the right design can come together to create a strong long term asset.
