What if a single block of land could double its potential? That was the dream for one savvy investor who purchased a vacant site in Wyoming. With strong rental demand in the area, their brief was clear, create a modern family home and a well-designed granny flat that would maximise returns while standing out for quality and comfort.
Main Dwelling – Built for Families
The three-bedroom home was designed around everyday liveability. At the heart of the home, an expansive open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area creates the perfect gathering space. To balance this openness with privacy, we introduced a separate bedroom wing, giving residents quiet retreat zones, while keeping the social hub bright and welcoming. A master suite with ensuite and walk-in robe, plus a double garage, completed the picture of a modern, functional home tailored to today’s tenants.
Granny Flat – Smart, Seamless, and Inviting
Behind the main dwelling, we added a custom two-bedroom granny flat. Thoughtful design and the use of pine fencing gave it its own sense of space, while still tying it visually into the overall property. Compact yet stylish, it neatly fits the block without feeling squeezed in and instantly adds another stream of income for the investor.
The Block Advantage
This site was a builder’s dream, almost level, with just a gentle slope. The straightforward access meant smoother construction, faster turnaround, and less disruption for everyone involved.
The Transformation
The result? A dual-dwelling investment property that’s both practical and profitable. Modern layouts, timeless finishes, and clever planning mean the homes will stay appealing to tenants for years to come, while giving the owner a strong, secure rental yield.
At Coastwide Granny Flats, these are the projects we love, where smart design meets financial peace of mind.
